Total Life Health Center accepts traditional Medicare and a wide variety of Medicare Advantage health plans. We work closely with various health plan partners to be able to provide care to all future patients.
In addition, Total Life Health Center has contracts with various commercial and Medicaid insurance plans. To expand our services to various populations we also provide various payment options for self pay or private pay patients.

Total Life Health Center is the result of more than 35 years of managed healthcare practice and nonprofit leadership work by its founders Medical Doctor Byron Dean and Managed Care Operations expert Darling St Jean.
With over 21 years experience as a licensed medical provider, Dr Byron Dean has demonstrated a significant commitment to the community by providing quality healthcare to Polk county residents. This commitment lead to successfully operating a private primary care practice in Lakeland, Florida for the last 11 years. Dr. Dean takes pride in his professional, compassionate approach to ensuring that each patient is treated and cared for to their specific needs. His desire is to ensure each patient receives care that leads to an improved quality of life.
Darling St Jean has professionally managed and operated public and private medical practices for the last 15 years in Polk County, Fl. Her proven track record of success has cultivated her commitment and dedication with ensuring all patients are cared for with respect, compassion, integrity, and are thoroughly involved in all health care decisions. Her prayer and ongoing efforts are to ensure that all patients receive the care, resources, and education needed for optimal health and wellbeing.
